Pokemon OC: Heartgold Team

The poll said they wanted to see my HG team. So here they are! THIS IS NOT A NUZLOCKE TEAM.

I would have built more teams in the game but I am too lazy and I find the game kinda slow.....

These have their own little stories within a gijinka-verse.

Name: NICK
Ability: Download
Bios: NICK, an acronym for “Novel Internet Compound Keylogger,” is an odd porygon that was built by a rogue programmer. But due to mysterious circumstances he was found abandoned and shut-down. Kama later re-booted it to have NICK just help her around. Despite being genderless, NICK considers himself as a male. He’s generally quiet and shy, but have his odd fits of intense emotion despite having a program that regulates his feelings to be more or less neutral.

Due to his introverted-ness, he tends to not really put himself in many social situations. But he is slowly getting used to it (as uncomfortable as he feels after 30 mins in any crowded place). He’s in a relationship with Evans, a togetic: [link]

Name: Luke
Ability: Water Absorb
Bios: Luke is a lifeguard/swimming instructor in Azalea Town’s community pool, which is located near the Slowpoke Well Caves. He is pretty much a gentle giant type and prefers to avoid any conflict. While NICK is more of a shy loner, Luke enjoys hanging out with people…even if he might not talk much due to his shyness.

He met Cheryl’s team when they were exploring Slowpoke Cave; Cheryl slipped and fell in the underground pool and Luke had to save her from drowning. He occasionally makes fun of her for that incident (mostly because Cheryl cannot swim and was a giant baby about it). But he really likes Cheryl and does help her out when she needs to cross various bodies of water. Luke also spars often with Atlas when the team is going through a training session.

Name: Cheryl
Ability: Blaze
Bios: Cheryl left her home in Cherrygrove mostly to get away from her parents, who happened to be scientists who kinda wanted their daughter to follow the same path (Mother is a Typhlosion, father is an Arcanine). Despite being rebellious in that respect, she still inherited her parents’ serious demeanor; she likes being the boss (even though she is not always the highest level Pokemon on the team..that’s Kama).

She really loves running and going to different places and meeting new people. She has a wandering habit and does not like to really stay in one place for too long. Sadly she cannot swim and does not want to learn how to; basically, she depends on Luke to cross any body of water except small puddles. She may or may not be in a relationship with Luke…she also is in a rivalry with Steele.

Name: Kama (traded)
Ability: Levitate
Bios: Kama is the mischievous, eccentric grandma of the team (considers herself female despite being genderless). She is at least a few centuries old and was composed of plasma from an electrical storm (so she is a “live” ghost in that she never really died). Because she has lived through many things, Kama is indifferent and will ignore to any sort of conflict that does not involve her; if she IS involved, Kama will be quick to settle it by force. Indeed, she is often the strongest member of the team but indulges Cheryl’s bossy attitude on occasion because Kama is not the responsible type. But she is willing to teach; she taught Luke the move Thunder.

Kama is exceptionally good at hijacking and handling technology; even though she can be any rotom form, she often likes to be the mow form to fill in as the pseudo-grass type. Kama claims this form also gives her the best smile, which she uses to scare unsuspecting victims.

Name: Steele (traded from a friend’s SS game)
Ability: Sturdy
Bios: Steele is a not popular (for now?) stuntman/actor who joined the team after a small tiff with Cheryl. While the team was in Mahogany Town, Cheryl had apparently burned his favorite cape (which he claimed was from his ex) and she needed to pay back somehow. Cheryl found that a pretty dumb reason to join her team but she allowed it anyway. Both of them argue and fight often…and if Steele happens to lose (he does often), he would find a way to piss her off (i.e. set up a bucket full of water above the door where Cheryl might be coming out of). If Cheryl loses, she would simply burn his face in frustration.

Other than having petty fights with Cheryl, he does enjoy designing costumes for diff indie plays his drama friends write/direct…or just for fun (when he has the materials); the rest of the team does enjoy being his models when Steele is in an experimental mood….even if their level of enjoyment varies from person to person.

Name: Atlas
Ability: Swarm
Bios: Atlas is the youngest member of the team, and is a happy-go-lucky martial artist in-training. He pretty much considers them older sibs or parental figures, depending on each member. After training in Ecruteak under the monks in Tin Tower (orphaned so does not know his parents), he left to go his own way and ended up joining Cheryl’s team. Atlas is more or less content with his life and rarely gets into arguments with anyone on the team. But he does love sparring and often asks others to join him during training sessions. Even though he relies mostly on his hands and feet to fight, Atlas also does utilize his two swords on occasion (one has a steel blade, the other is wooden).

Atlas, like most Heracross has a weakness for tree saps, and often is seen on a tree trunk boring holes to get some. Interestingly though, he dislikes honey unless diluted by 100-fold or so. He also really likes spicy foods and with Cheryl, enjoys them and laughs at others who cannot handle it as well as they can.
